Whether. you do it yourself, or whether you delegate it, it’s easy to forget how much admin is required to go along with a sale. If you’re only making a small margin on that sale, it could all be gobbled up by the hidden admin. I could kid myself that I make £900 per hour from my zoom training sessions but if 4 hours of zoom has another 20 hours of admin then it’s not £900, it’s £125.
Here’s an example – and you could do the same.
I looked back at a course I recently did – it was 4 zoom sessions so it was worth about £3500. Great! But as well as the time to prepare the sessions, and the time to run them, look how much time, and therefore money, was used on the admin!
It was easy to search gmail (you could do the same for one of your jobs) and these were all the emails we exchanged, from the moment they contacted me to the point where I ran the sessions.
(note: this was a perfectly reasonable customer, everything went smoothly – and STILL, so many emails!!)
