I love this little crab pen holder and both of my grand children are obsessed with it. And it’s only £6

It HAS to be this Etsy one, the ones on amazon just aren’t as good

This game on amazon looks fun. It’s cheap, portable, and any age can play it.

I’m a dog person really, not gonna lie, but still, cats are OK and THIS is pretty cool, and also cheap! I think a cat would like it?

Belroy stuff is always good. How about this insulated cool bag that takes beers, cola, or a bottle of wine – and the handle is a bottle opener! 6L is big enough I think. There’s a good larger tote bag as well, also insulated.

While we’re talking bags, I love my Alpaca every-day carry bag, for a phone, chocolate, EarPods, power bank, comb, paracetamols, can also take a camera etc – wear as bum bag or sling diagonally, wear front or back, great for walking around London etc. It opens concertina so you get lots of small pockets and can find everything, though less good for large items like bottle of water.

Expensive, but treat someone (and maybe yourself!?) to the ABBA Voyage experience, it really is quite amazing. I have no idea how on earth they can have done it. Even if you’re not a fan (I really only like SOS and Winner takes it all, TBH) it’s a great night out. You have to go to London to see it because it needs a special building with stuff in the ceiling and floor.

PS Dance floor (the front) is expensive but there are bargains, like this… Block K would be fine.

My wife loves her BAM socks – made of bamboo, they are supposed to be softer and more supportive, and maybe they are! they also make lots of other mostly-sporty clothing items….

Hilarious Crocodile socks, only £14, handmade and sort of for charity too….

(and they do sharks as well)

Very interesting lights here – check out the wall lights as well as the pendant ones https://arturelights.com/collections/frontpage

Your favourite band on a mug – this is the Queen one but search Etsy and you’ll find pretty much anyone you want.

I’m not particularly a fan of halloween, but I do like night lights, and this one is really fun, I think you could use it all year around, it’s got a bit of magic to it for kids, and the flickering bonfire flame is really cozy. Anyway, I like it! https://nimebrand.com/collections/toys/products/spooky-ghost-nightlight

I’m not an outdoor winter swimmer – in fact I think you’d have to be mad to do it – but I do like the dry robes! Great in the rain or the cold, and also you can pretend you’re tough by wearing one… Am I the only one who could imagine just putting it on over your pyjamas in the morning and never even really getting dressed?

Emergency phone charging battery – sticks magnetically to the back of your iPhone and recharges it wirelessly. Small enough to have in pocket or bag if you’re going on a longer trip or you’re going out and your phone is looking a bit low. Holds about one phone’s worth of power. Perfect size: any bigger is too heavy.

Reading matter: I still love Viz, and The Week, which between them tell me all I need to know. Though I’ve thought about getting Private Eye as well. But you could also consider my wife’s two favourites: The Simple Things, and The Happy Newspaper.

OMG I love these salty nuts, and nobody else makes them half as good as M&S! And they’re even sort of good for you…..

Yum, this cordial is so good! Hard to get, but Ocado has it, and, for a price that’s too high, amazon too. But it’s the BEST cordial out there: Belvoir Honey Lemon and Ginger, trust me it’s fantastic, and much better for you than smoothies, coke, or heaven forbid alcohol!

(Don’t accept the just-ginger one, it must be all three ingredients!)

Expensive, but imagine for the rest of your life if you could make your bottle of wine last a month or two, totally fresh. Yes I know you could just drink the whole bottle, but sometimes I quite like one glass, or half a bottle, so this would be good. It fills the airspace with inert gas so the wine keeps perfectly. You can have several half-finished bottles on the go too: it comes with several tops, so you can have a choice of wine with whatever meal you are having. Works with both corks and screw tops. Niiiiice…..

I like this padlock where you don’t have to remember numbers, you can spell out a word, possibly even a rude one if you want (you can set it from the letters you get, and there are loads of possibilities).

Yes, my book about careers and life and happiness is a very nice present, if you get it in paper form, just saying….. and it’s only £9.99. A good present for someone who is setting out in life, or questioning their direction in life

When you’re going out and you want to just bring ID and maybe one credit card. Attaches magnetically and very strongly to your phone. Mujjo is the best make – high quality leather!

My puzzle of the year is I think this Dog Obstacle Run – it’s quite beautiful, and surprisingly difficult. Can you see how the dog gets to his red owner in the photo above??

(although I also love the squirrels go nuts puzzle

Would you like a submarine peeping up out of your wine? I would.

These little USB-rechargeable lights are incredibly useful, and last ages between recharging with USB – for night time bathroom, or finding car charging wire in dark garage, or helping put key in door, etc. They even have a magnet and metal plate so you can take them off the wall to charge them up. You get two for £17.

These writing pad things are stupidly cheap, (two for £7!) and very useful for jobs to do / shopping lists / ideas capture. One press of the button and they clear completely.

These 3D-printed name things are fun – and possibly romantic if you add your wedding date or date you met. If your names are different lengths can have hearts instead of extra letters. Clever!

if money is no object (or you can get Work to fund it!) the new ReMarkable is very nice – super thin, colour, backlit for using in low light or the dark, and feels just like writing on paper.

there are all sorts of interesting tissue dispensers out there – both of these appeal to me too:

This is the best massager – https://pulsio.co.uk/products/pulsio-air Cheaper ones aren’t powerful enough and with more expensive ones you’re just paying for the name.

A little bit pricey, but how about a customised bobblehead (they make it from some photos you send in) – you can have body builders, sumo wrestlers, person on toilet, Star Wars, guitarists, superheroes, or my personal favourite, the butt-pencil holder!
