When I asked to test drive an Audi eTron GT they said they would only ship a test car down to the coast if I was definitely going to buy it.
How crazy is that?
It’s going to be much harder to sell the car if people can’t test drive it – beautiful looking though it is.
Similarly, e-Learning / video-based courses always seem to make it really hard to see free samples. Why would that be? Are they ashamed of the content? Surely you’d WANT people to see how good it is, if it IS good?
But try it and you’ll see I’m right, just google video courses for any subject you like, and see if you can actually get to see ANY of the courses you find, – or try to see more than just an intro video, before you pay. It’s weirdly difficult.
So for my project management course I’ve made the first minute of EVERY video free to view – and some of the videos are quite short so this could be more than half of the video! – so you can sample every single video of the course, and see that it is solidly good all the way through.
For the product or service YOU sell: – how easy is it for people to see how good it is, before they buy it?
