Are your people happy? Seven things to ask yourself:

It’s easy to forget to think about whether your people are happy – until suddenly one of them leaves!

It’s not that we don’t care, we’re just SO busy dealing with all the urgent tasks and hassle of life.

So I think it’s a really good idea to sit down once a month and think about whether each person is happy.  

The great news is you don’t even have to stop everything to do it, you can do it while you’re driving, or if you arrive somewhere a bit early, or while you’re in a queue, or bored in a meeting…

For each person, run through them in your head and ask yourself if they are hot or cold?

Remember, if someone gets unhappy to the point where they leave, it costs between 3k and 10k to replace them!  Much better to keep them happy.
