Miles and I have been having a meal in every curry restaurant in Bournemouth, Poole, Chistchurch, Wimborne and Ringwood – and a few others beyond that area when we’re there.

We always have the same dishes, so we can compare:
Lamb Korai
Chicken Bhuna
Onion Bhaji
Brinjal Bhaji (aubergine)
Garlic Naan
Pilau Rice
Lassi if they have it

The total score is based on:
Quality of meat
Taste of sauce
Whether the heat is too high / too low or as expected
Quality of both bhajis
Quality of naan
Ambience and noise levels, incl do they have booths
Is the food shareable vs plated up
Is the coca cola from glass bottle, can, plastic bottle (ie flat) or squirty jet – or, heaven forbid, diet only or Pepsi only.
Is parking close and easy to find.
Is the service friendly, and how fast is it?
It’s completely our opinion – you may not agree, and that’s fine!
The overratings are green = excellent, amber is OK (and ANY curry is good!), while red is disappointing.

You can view the locations and overall ratings here:

If you mouse over the dots you can see the name of the emporium.

The scores on the map are based on all of the detail information on a big spreadsheet, here.
Let us know if there’s a restaurant we missed, or one we need to (reluctantly) retry!
